We are delighted to announce that during the 4 festive days, we held 65 animations across Apéritif à la française, Bordeaux l’École du vin and Alsace wines academy, bringing immense joy and pleasure to over 3,500 participants with countless others being able to profit from the memorable ambiance. 

We have surely shone brightly among the 270 wine and food exhibitors, bringing to all the participants a unique and unforgettable experience.

Disciples Escoffier Young Talent 2013

The champion of the Asian Final Competition of Disciples Escoffier Young Talent Trophy 2013 is born! After months of pre-selections from 8 different Asian Regions, plus 3 days of intense competition in during Restaurant and Bar 2013 (3^rd Sept – 5^th Sept), in which the eight young chefs have gave their best to fight vie for the culinary crown, and the competition has finally come to an end. 

This year’s winner of the Asian Final Round of the Disciples Escoffier Young Talent Trophy (DEYTT) 2013 is

LEE WON YONG

The winner of the Asian Final Round will now move on to represent Asia in the World Competition 2014 to be held in Lille, France.

On 3^rd September, all the candidates were required to prepare the themed dish Poached Egg “Mignon”. Then in the second round of the competition on the following day, they were called on to create a dish with salmon. After four candidates had been eliminated following the second round, the remaining four with the highest combined scores from the previous two days, Chris Wong (Hong Kong), Zhao Yuan Cheng (Macau), Lee Won Yong (South Korea) and Ton Nu Hong Loan (Vietnam), proceeded to the final day to undertake the final challenge based on the theme “Beef and Pastry”.

Chablis the perfect pairing for Oysters @ Asian Seafood Expo 2013

Many thanks to our Bourgogne wine instructor: Mr. Louis Lee, for doing an exquisite pairing with Chablis Wines and Marenne Oleron Oyster at the Asian Seafood Expo 2013 (3rd Sept - 5th Sept). 

Oysters can be tricky to pair considering their top layers and after tastes can be subtle or distinct, finding the perfect wine matches has always been a challenge for wine lovers.

Through the aromas, palate, notes of each selection the official Bourgogne wine accredited lecturer Mr. Louis Lee had guided many to discover the perfect matches between Chablis wines and Marenne Oleron Oysters. A variety of matches had been provided with 10 different domains of Chablis wines throughout the whole event.

24H Expo – The French Wines Trade Show is a yearly exhibition program organized by Sopexa Group. 24H Expo existed since 40 years ago, and have attracted more than 25 000 visitors all over the world and helped 3 000 wine producers to prospect new markets.

After setting up in Beijing and Shanghai, 24H Expo has marked another huge success in Hong Kong on 4^th July, receiving important wine trade professionals and journalists in town.

Visitors were invited to travel with wine producers to different wine regions of France through a diversified selection of wines including but not limited to: Alsace, Beaujolais, Bordeaux, Bourgogne, Chablis, Champagne, Languedoc, Loire Valley, South of France, Rhône Valley …

This event was a golden opportunity for fruitful exchanges between French wines producers and local wine professionals.
