The Bordeaux Wine Council (C.I.V.B.) is glad to announce the Everyday Bordeaux Selection 100 of year 2012. There are 74 red wines, 19 dry whites, 6 sweet whites and 1 rosé, coming from 41 importers. Everyday Bordeaux is a worldwide communication program designed to increase consumer awareness of the fact that in addition to producing renowned fine wines, Bordeaux can offer a full range of good value wines for everyday enjoyment. In each country concerned, CIVB invites local importers to submit their current Bordeaux portfolio for wine connoisseur panel blind tasting. The 100 highest quality Bordeaux wines will be selected and listed in a buyer guide based on the tasting results.
CIVB launched the first Hong Kong edition of Everyday Bordeaux in 2007. This year, number of wine entries reached a record high: 57 Hong Kong importers of Bordeaux wines have submitted 310 wine samples for blind tasting selection on 9-10 July 2012. The retail prices per bottle for the wines submitted range from HK$70 to HK$ 350 for red, white and rosé and from HK$70 to HK$450 for sweet wine.
For wine lovers in Hong Kong, these 2012 selections will be contemporary Bordeaux wines that can be easily found and savored at meals and gatherings. Be it classic or modern, world-class cellar star or an everyday sipper, Bordeaux has it all.
